Grace Tempany is a Dublin-based Yoga, English and Music teacher, whose philosophy on life and learning runs deeply through everything she does.


ABOUT THE PROJECT

CHALLENGE

Grace had no website and her social media presence was inconsistent at best (sorry, Grace)!

For example, a yogi following Grace on Facebook and Instagram would have no idea that it was the same brand and company.

Simply put, Grace did not have the time or energy to focus on this kind of detail – she had classes to teach.

Our mission was to create a cohesive brand that encompassed the many facets of Grace’s professional and personal interests, and ensure that this had the potential to grow and morph with her over time.

OUTCOME

We were able to create an authentic and cohesive brand for Grace.

Grace's online presence is now consistent and engaging. Followers on each of her social media channels began to find her other profiles because it was easier to identify her across all platforms.

With a more consistent feel, Grace has a focused brand and online presence that combines her varied offerings and reaches a wider audience for each. Since the launch of the site, Grace has travelled widely, began teaching Yoga Alliance certified courses and building up a strong following both on and offline.

From not having a website at all, Grace now has 4,000 unique visitors annually.



DEVELOPING THE STRATEGY

Grace came to us very overwhelmed and lacking in clarity about how to create a brand that would encompass each of her offerings. The Bigger Picture worked closely with Grace Tempany to craft a strategy for the brand which would seamlessly cover all of her offerings. The strategy was crafted with Grace’s personal and professional goals firmly in mind. This became the foundation for the project.



UNDERSTANDING THE MISSION

Grace’s mission is to connect with, educate and empower her students in the classroom, on the mat and out in the world. Grace believes that our ability to connect deeply with ourselves and with others lies at the core of our understanding. She is passionate about finding a place for mindfulness, yoga, and meditation within the mainstream education system.

POSITIONING

Understanding what Grace’s brand is and who she is a champion for helped to define the positioning of the brand set the tone for everything created for her.


BRAND CREATION

We developed a brand from scratch that encompassed her Yin Yoga classes, which operate under the name DubYin Yoga, the branding for which we also redesigned as part of this process. This included creating logos for both the Grace Tempany and DubYin brands, implementing colour palettes and type faces, and mindfulness inspired graphic elements. We developed the two brands alongside one another to ensure a cohesive and meditative experience.



PHOTOGRAPHY

Grace and I spent a total of 5 days on photoshoots together on multiple occasions and in multiple locations. Several shoots in Dublin and Bali allowed us to create a wealth of strong imagery which would later form the basis for the brand and the website, as well as a large amount of social media content.



WEBSITE DESIGN

A cohesive user experience.

The website was created with the aim of combining all of Grace’s passions and offerings into one seamless location. The goal was to educate her audience on her range of offerings and enable users to easily book in for her classes and events.
